Specialty Silicone Products, Inc. has formulated EMI Shielding Elastomers ranging from .001 to .05 resistance in ohms centimeters. There are 36 formulations ranging from 45 to 85 durometers. They include both fuel and solvent resistant, as well as flame retardant shielding elastomers. They may be molded or extruded depending upon the catalyst selected

MIL-G-83528 Designed Products

The products shown in the shaded areas are called out in the MIL-G-83528 specification. The letter following the SSP product number corresponds to the MIL-G-83528 category it represents. For example, SSP-55-45-J contains silver conductor formulated to a 45 ± 7 hardness designed to meet Category J of MIL-G-83528. SSP lists 11 such products shown in the shaded areas, called out by MIL-G-83528. The product categories shown are A, B, C, D, E, F, H, J, K, L & M.

Additional SSP EMI Shielding Products Outside MIL-G-83528 Jurisdiction

The remaining products shown in the unshaded areas fall outside the MIL-G-83528 realm. Generally, these products are lower in hardness, have excellent physical properties, and have the same level of shielding effectiveness as products designed to meet MIL-G-83528. These products provide the design engineer a further selection of softer products to add to the limited range of harder products listed under MIL-G-83528.
