SSP 1941-Series (TUFSIL®) products are high quality silicone elastomers designed to be cured with the addition of a platinum based catalyst that provides a tight surface cure with low surface tack, yielding high tear strength finished products. TUFSIL® products come in a range of hardness, from 30 to 80 durometer (Shore A), and can be blended to provide intermediate hardnesses to meet a wide variety of specifications and application demands.

Due to their addition-cure chemistry, the finished product contains no unsightly residue on the surface, and since catalyst consumption is so efficient, these products are excellent candidates for healthcare and food processing applications. Components of TUFSIL® elastomers have been found to meet strict ISO and United States pharmacopia (Class VI) Standards. Copies of this information are available from SSP.
