Faces of SSP: Suchada Connors
Specialty Silicone Products (SSP) is pleased to introduce Suchada Connors, our new Production Supervisor for industrial products. Suchada joined the SSP team less than a month ago and is responsible for achieving key manufacturing objectives and production goals. These include maximizing productivity, achieving on-time delivery, minimizing scrap, ensuring worker safety, and producing high-quality materials. She works closely with other departments and is helping to create a best-practices training program.
Before joining SSP, Suchada worked as a production supervisor in food manufacturing, an industry where quality, efficiency, safety, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction are all extremely important. In addition, she has supply chain and logistics experience from her work at a Wal Mart Distribution Center and Ace Hardware, the world’s largest hardware retail cooperative. Suchada earned a B.S. in business from the State University of New York at Potsdam and an MBA from Clarkson University.
A native of southern Thailand, Suchada holds a degree in political science from Prince of Songkla University and has lived in Bangkok, the nation’s capital and its most populous city. She has also traveled to South Korea, where she studied the Korean language for six months. She loves traveling to countries she never been to before and learning the culture, art, history, etc. “I like to see new places and go where I’ve never been before,” she explains. Although she is busy with work, she looks forward to taking short trips again with the easing of COVID-related travel restrictions.
Suchada describes her SSP co-workers as “amazing” and likes how the company is “growing and doing really well.” She recognizes that challenges exist but is “very happy to be part of the process” of finding solutions. Specialty Silicone Products welcomes Suchada Connors and looks forward to continuing to provide our industrial customers with high-quality EMI RFI silicone materials and products, military and aerospace silicones and fluorosilicones, and FDA / USP Class VI silicone elastomers.
