
Particle-Filled Shielding Silicones
Specialty Silicone Products Inc. (SSP) supplies electrically-conductive silicone elastomers that provide shielding against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI). Many of the particle-filled silicones that SSP has developed meet the MIL-DTL-83528C specification for military applications. Commercial-grade materials are available for automotive, aerospace, satellite communications, unmanned systems, and other electronic applications that require EMI and RFI suppression.
Cost-Effective, Conductive Materials for EMI Shielding Gaskets
Gasket fabricators like how SSP’s conductive silicones offer the right balance between electrical conductivity, EMI shielding and/or RFI shielding, and material cost. SSP supplies a full line of EMI RFI shielding materials as uncured moldable compounds, compression-molded sheetstock, and (in some cases), as continuous rolls. In this way, a gasket fabricator or gasket cutter can convert SSP’s conductive silicones into shielding gaskets via the most efficient, cost-effective method.
