SSP-1208-A is a heavy-bodied, PTFE-filled silicone grease for heavy loads at temperatures between -40°F (-40°C) and 500°F (260°C).

Heavy-Bodied Silicone Lubricating Grease

SSP-1208-A is a silicone lubricating grease that’s designed for a wide range of applications where contacting surfaces are under heavy load, and where high temperatures are expected. This PTFE-filled silicone grease is comparable to DC 44 bearing grease from Dow Corning, and to G-330M lubricant from Novagard.

Water-Repellent PTFE-Filled Silicone Grease

SSP-1208-A has an operating temperature range of -40?F to 500?F and an unworked penetration in the 200 to 250 range with a typical value of 230. This silicone lubricating grease is water repellent, non-corrosive, and does not separate. SSP-1208-A is low in volatiles, exhibits excellent dispersion characteristics, and provides both chemical and thermal resistance.

Applications for SSP-1208-A Silicone Lubricant

SSP-1208-A is useful as corrosion inhibitor, mold release, and lubricant for metal, rubber, and plastic parts. Applications include fire extinguisher valves, fractional HP motors, HVAC fans, plug valves, electrical connections, garage door chain drives, and window tracks and springs. With its wide temperature range, consistency, and stability, SSP-1208-A also can be used with home appliances and recreational vehicles.
