Silver-Aluminum Silicone Shielding Elastomer 

SSP-2368-65 is a 65-durometer (Shore A), electrically-conductive shielding silicone that’s filled with silver-plated aluminum particles and designed to meet MIL-DTL-8352C Type B requirements for elastomeric gaskets. For this particle-filled silicone, typical shielding effectiveness measurements for the 20 MHz to 10 GHz frequcy band (E-field) are > 114 dB.

MIL-DTL-8352C Type B

SSP-2368-65 meets the requirements of the MIL-DTL-83528C Type B specification for a silver-plated aluminum-filled silicone that's capable of 100 dB of plane wave shielding effectiveness at 10 GHz. This conductive shielding elastomer from Specialty Silicone Products has a thermal stability range of -60°C to +220°C.

QPL LISTED FLUOROSILICONE: QUALIFIED PRODUCTS LIST (QPL) 83528 

The U.S Department of Defense (DOD) Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime has qualified SSP-2368-65 under the current issue of MIL-DTL-83528 as a result of successful qualification testing.

EMI Gasket Material

SSP-2368-65 is tan or dark blue in color and supplied as fully-cured, conductive sheet stock or as ready-to-mold compounds. Uncatalyzed SSP-2368-65 has an indefinite shelf life, but may need freshening after 1 – 2 years. Catalyzed SSP-42368-65 has a six-month shelf life, and is ready for press-cure molding.

CHO-SEAL 1285 Offset

SSP-2368-65 can be used instead of CHO-SEAL 1285. CHO-SEAL®  is a registered trademark of Parker Chomerics. SSP also makes other CHOSEAL offsets.
