SSP-1201-A is an extreme low-temperature, PTFE-filled silicone grease that provides reliable lubrication at temperatures as low as -150°F (-101°C).


Extreme Low-Temperature Silicone Lubricating Grease

SSP-1201-A is a silicone lubricating grease that’s designed for demanding applications where maximum surface contact is required under load, and where extremely low temperatures are expected. This PTFE-filled silicone grease is comparable to DC 33 bearing grease from Dow Corning, and G-321 silicone lubricant from Novagard.

Water-Repellent PTFE-Filled Silicone Grease

SSP-1201-A has an operating range of 150?F to 475?F and an unworked penetration in the 240 to 300 range with a typical value of 260. This silicone lubricating grease is water repellent, radiation resistant, chemically inactive, and non-corrosive. SSP-1201-A silicone lubricant also combines hydrolytic stability with chemical and thermal resistance. 

Applications for SSP-1201A Silicone Lubricant

Applications for SSP-1201-A silicone grease include aircraft and marine cables, mine fuse parts, low-temperature moving parts, and high-pressure and low-speed parts. With its excellent dispersion and stability, SSP-1201-A is also useful as a lubricant in extreme high-pressure applications. Additional uses for this PTFE-filled, yellow silicone compound include utility meters and starter drives.
