SSP-1219 is a silicone grease that's an approved NSF H1 food grade lubricant for incidental food contact in and around food processing areas.

SSP-1219 is an NSF H1 food grade lubricant that repels water, inhibits corrosion, and features no separation at temperatures up to 500° F. This translucent silicone grease also has excellent dispersion, low volatiles, excellent stability, and a wide temperature range. SSP-1219 has a worked penetration in the 230 to 270 range and an unworked penetration in the 200 to 250 range.

NSF H1 Food Grade Lubricant

NSF approved H1 food grade lubricants like SSP-1219 contain only base stocks, additives, and thickeners that comply with 21 CFR 178.3750, a part of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) that applies to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The H1 designation is also a continuation of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) product approval and listing program.

Additional Applications

In addition to indirect food contact, SSP-1219 is used in fire extinguisher valves, vacuum / pressure systems, auto ignition, plug valves, electrical connections, and corrosion protection. SSP-1219 is also useful as an electrical insulator, corrosion inhibitor, water repellent, mold, release, and metal, rubber, and plastic parts lubricant.
