SSP Joins Silicone Expo and Event Advisory Board
Specialty Silicone Products (SSP) will attend Silicone Expo, the world’s first free-to-attend commercial tradeshow and conference for the silicone industry, next summer. This in-person event is scheduled for June 21 to 23, 2022 at the TCF Center in Detroit and will feature 180+ exhibitors, two conference tracks with virtual roundtables, 65+ speakers, and over 3500 buyers. Select Global Events (SGE) is organizing Silicone Expo and invites industry members to book a booth.
Dominic Testo, SSP’s Business Development Manager, has been named to the advisory board for this groundbreaking event, which is exclusively for the silicone industry. As an exhibitor, SSP will showcase its particle-filled silicones for EMI/RFI shielding, USP Class VI silicones for medical manufacturers, and military and aerospace elastomers that include fluorosilicones. In addition to ready-to-mold compounds and sheet and roll materials, SSP supplies EMI/RFI extrusions, conductive O-rings, and molded gaskets.
Nathan Reuby, SGE’s CEO, emphasized the importance of Silicone Expo in a recent announcement. “Silicones are amongst the world’s most important and adaptable materials that are used in a huge amount of industries,” he explained. “All around us in everyday life is a silicone based product, yet surprisingly this sector did not have its own dedicated meeting space. It does now and we are so excited to work with the industry and give it the platform it deserves”.
SSP’s Dominic Testo shares Nathan’s enthusiasm. “Finally, there’s a show just for silicones. SSP is excited to join this event and looks forward to sharing additional details about our participation, beginning with an upcoming announcement of our booth number. Whether it’s for medical devices, 5G, electric vehicles, satellite communications, military projects, or aerospace applications, SSP makes specialized silicones that we’ll highlight at Silicone Expo.”
In the build-up to next summer’s event, Silicone Expo will showcase two free-to-attend conferences in manufacturing and application plus virtual roundtables and webinars. More than 65 industry leaders from around the world will provide insights about innovation and research and development (R&D). Through education and thought leadership, these discussions will benefit event participants as they deepen their knowledge about silicones, one of the world’s most important and adaptable materials.
